The plantation was founded in 1981, on a plane surface, the second terrace of the Trotus River, being one of the first "super-intensive" orchards (1250 trees/hectare) from Bacau County and from the country. 66625 trees were planted in total, on a 53.3 hectares surface.

The financing for founding the plantation was a BIRD (The Development and Reconstruction International Bank) credit. The seeding material was imported from Bulgary and the planted surface was set up with an irrigation system. Three varieties of apples were cultivated, all modern varieties both then and now:

Golden Delicious	23,3 hectares
Idared	20 hectares
Starkrimson	10 hectares

All sorts have M-106 parent stock.

Thereafter, a 10 acres surface was attached to the plantation, where a Red Gauntlet strawberry plantation was set up.

1989 finds the plantation with these cultivated surfaces and the entire production intended for the centralized state stock (CLF, ILF). Form 1991 we founded an Agriculture Society: FRUCTOPROD, according to 36/1991 law.

The above mentioned surfaces were entirely maintained, and are currently under the administration of our society. Only the strawberry plantation was gradually disaffected due to the degeneration and natural aging phenomena. Now, this surface is cultivated with seed onion, and potato, also gainful plantations.

Before 1989, the plantation was operated with tractors and machinery property of SMA, but after laying new judicial grounds, Fructoprod purchased tractors and modern machinery, necessary for developing a high standard activity.

• 1 machine for potato soil cultivation;
• 1 herbicide installation;
• 4 auto trailers;
• 1 refrigerated trailer and other accessories;

On our plantation, all work is done mechanically, besides the works of tree fructification cutting and the cropping of the apples.

Our products took part in numerous regional and national contests.

We have obtained golden medals with Golden Delicious and Idared, and a silver medal with Starkrimson. The jury from the Voinesti National Contest, granted us the special prize for Golden Delicious variety.

On our plantation, for fertilizing we use well fermented stable garbage, and for mentaining the sanitary state, only superior quality products.

Samples of our products are selected every year: apples, onion and potato, in order to determine the eventual butts of phyto-sanitary products in them. Our products never had butts, so for every delivery, a quality certificate is provided.

Gradually, after 1989, SA Fructoprod built its own warehouse, with a 700 tone capacity, so in the autumn, we exploit only the excess from production and the fruits for industrialization.
